झारखंड में हुए हमले के बाद पूर्ण जस्टिस काटजू ने अग्निवेश को एक अच्छी सलाह दी,उन्होंने कहा कि अग्निवेश को अमरनाथ यात्रा को पाखंड नहीं कहना चाहिए था.काटजू ने ट्वीट करते हुए लिखा कि "While I condemn attack on Swami Agnivesh in Jharkhand, he too shud not have called Amarnath Yatra as 'paakhand' or 'manifestation of Hindu terrorism' as reported. How wud Muslims react if Haj is called paakhand & manifestation of Muslim terrorism ?"
